Traces is the latest work by Berlin-based artist The Krank, which intends to illustrate the consequences of over-consumption in modern society. Presented during the exhibition of BerlinGraphicDays in Berlin’s X-lane venue, the 100 m2 art installation fills the space with a sea of 500 black plastic trash bags, resulting in a striking image that makes a blatant comment on the wastefulness of contemporary lifestyles. His ideology revolves around conscience and humanity. Through his projects, he tries to develop an ethical state within the complex structure of modern life, aiming at a deeper understanding of the substantive. It is his duty to capture the most sincere interpretation of the world by opening up a dialogue for alternative visions.
