Decorum: A photographic series Decorum is a set which questions the relationship between reality and fiction. It shows pictures of places void of any human presence. The objects and relics remaining from the successive occupancies create the layers of a mysterious story. These places have lost their purpose, their shine and what’s left of the walls reveals traces of the past. Just like stage sets, though, these spaces appear remote from reality. Mixing both objectivity and subjectivity, the approach consists in bonding reality and artifice. Thus, while some rooms undergo scenographic changes, others are left in their original state. Putting together these antagonisms, both photographed in a similar and formal way, produces a set in which ambiguity spreads. How much of it is real and how much of it is fake?
