Silvia Brum is a Brazilian artist and architect, born (1967) and based in Porto Alegre, Brazil. She has presented her art work in different exhibitions in her country. In 1997 she was honoured with an entry on the “Fine Arts Dictionary of Rio Grande do Sul”, a compilation of artists of the south of Brazil. The human figure is central to her work, particularly the eyes. Through them, the artist intends to tell stories that go beyond what is painted, creating an emotional connection between the figure and the viewer. Silvia works with oil on canvas and other techniques comprising acrylic paint, crayon and rust.
