Johannes Postlmayr is a metal artist and object maker focusing on the material enamelled steel and its main application for mass-produced domestic kitchenware throughout the industrial revolution until the rise of stainless steel. With his work, he wants to shift the material from its outdated functional purpose to a medium for artistic expression, relevant for contemporary sculpture and object art.
