Jessica González Prados (1988, Barcelona) is a visual artist settled in Sevilla. She studied Fine Arts and obtained a Master in Arts “Idea y Producción”. Awarded with the medal for Fine Arts to the best master acadermic record 2013-2014, she is a current member in the Research Group of the Drawing Department at the University of Sevilla. Under the name of “Jessica Gonpra”, she has been published in “FLAMANTES. Book of artists: Artists under 35 years”, which aims to give visibility to a group of artists from around the world. She has also participated in important pictorial and illustrative projects and performances, and has illustrated two books. The Abartium gallery (Barcelona), in which she has participated with a group exhibition, states: “Gonpra’s artworks stand out for her social protest resulting from her emotional commitment in Human Rights defense”. Being selected in RECUORE´16 Festival, an International Festival on Art and Sustainability, guarantees her current denouncement in favour of the environment. Her last solo exhibition took place in the Andalusian Radio&Television headquarters in September 2016. After being selected on “Flux Exhibition” The Old Truman Brewery (november 2016), she has being selected to be part of Exhibit Here’s 2016 Art Maze Exhibition at Bargehouse.
