Born in Recife, Brazil, in 1980, from a family of sugarcane producers, since his early years had contact with the folkloric color exuberance from the Northeast cultural expressions. So far, during his adult life, lived in different cultures and countries (USA, Spain and Italy), seeking alternative visions of society. His artistic career started back in the late 1990’s while studying Economics at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, got interested on social studies, having his first contact with the Visual Arts and found in it his way onto expressing his thoughts and visions. From the first pieces – very saturated colors with naive or primitivist lines – passing through his studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze (2006-10) he has achieved two distinct art expressions: one being his continuous work on abstractions and inner perceptions; the as a reaction to objects, elements and images found on his surroundings, with no previous planning, that might trigger a need to keep and preserve that fragment of reality that has unknown past which can be only guessed by the artist.
