David Tycho is an established Canadian artist whose paintings are frequently exhibited and collected in Europe, Asia and North America. His work explores the physical, formal and/or psychological elements of cities: at times festive and alluring, and at other times alienating and dehumanizing. For him, the intriguing aspect of cities is the coexistence and duality of these seemingly disparate characteristics: the yin and yang of urban existence, so to speak.
