I am a Fine art painting student studying at University of Ulster, Belfast. My paintings take place in a disturbed reality which is currently based around the exploration of cults and the theme of abjection, I became interested in the darker side of worship though looking at religious paintings, and I was intrigued by the typical colours used along with the composition of the figures in relation to hierarchy. This has informed my own practice where I have created my own narrative based around an existing cult devoted to a leader that signifies the abject.
